Advancing Practice in Minor Injuries

About the course

This course is suitable for clinicians eager to advance their clinical skills and expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with minor injuries. You must be working in an enhanced or advanced clinical practitioner role in an emergency department, urgent treatment centre or minor injuries unit. 

The day will incorporate a range of teaching methods including lectures, practical sessions, and case-based discussions, all delivered by experts in the field.  There will also be the opportunity for networking with peers from across the country and sharing good practice. 

Sharing Good Practice: Service Improvement Projects

• Have you recently completed an audit or service improvement project?

• Would you like the opportunity to share your findings at a national event?

• Are you looking to develop your research pillar of advanced practice?   

We are offering the opportunity for successful delegates to give a 10-minute presentation on a service improvement project or audit to share good practice.  If you are interested, please send a short summary to rachel.martin@uhd.nhs.uk by 24th February 2025.

The Hamworthy Club, Canford Magna, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 3AP.

There is ample parking, a bar and changing facilities at the venue.  

Cost 

£60 (£40 for APPN & ATOCP Members)

Refund policy

• Cancellations received more than a week before the event will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee.

• Cancellations 2-7 days before the event will receive a 60% refund.

• No refund will be offered for cancellations within 48 hours of the event, but delegate name can be transferred.
